Instrumentation Fittings
Horizon Steel N Alloy provides high-precision instrumentation tube fittings engineered for zero-leakage performance in critical analytical, process control, and hydraulic systems. Featuring advanced single and double-ferrule compression designs, our fittings ensure absolute gas-tight sealing and ultimate fatigue resistance under severe vibration and high-pressure fluctuations.
- Twin-Ferrule Compression Technology
- Vacuum to High-Pressure (Up to 15,000 PSI)
- Helium Leak-Tested & Anti-Galling Threads

Comprehensive Technical Specifications
| Specification Parameter | Detailed Range & Capabilities |
|---|---|
| Fitting Configurations | Male / Female Connectors, Straight Unions, Union Elbows, Union Tees, Bulkhead Fittings, Reducers, Port Connectors, and Caps / Plugs. |
| Size Range (Tube OD) |
Fractional (Imperial): 1/16" OD up to 2" OD Metric Sizes: 2mm OD up to 50mm OD |
| Working Pressure Range | Vacuum to 15,000 PSIG (1034 bar). Allowable working pressure is determined by the selected tubing material and wall thickness. |
| Thread Types | NPT (National Pipe Taper), BSPT (ISO 7/1 Tapered), BSPP (ISO 228/1 Parallel), SAE/MS Straight Thread, Metric Threads. |
| Grip / Seal Mechanism | Single Ferrule or Twin-Ferrule (Front and Back Ferrule) design. Provides a mechanical swaging grip that resists torque transfer to the tubing. |
| Manufacturing Method | Straight fittings are precision-machined from cold-drawn bar stock. Shaped fittings (elbows, tees, crosses) are machined from close-grain forgings. |
| Surface Treatments | Nuts are internally silver-plated to prevent thread galling during make-up. Burnished internal finishes available for Ultra-High Purity (UHP) requirements. |
| Testing & Compliance | Helium leak tested to 1x10⁻⁹ mbar l/s. Hydrostatic burst tested, vibration fatigue tested, and fully NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156 compliant for sour gas. |
Structural Types & Formats
Male & Female Connectors
Designed to transition safely from instrumentation tubing directly into threaded pipe systems or equipment ports. Available in NPT, BSPT, and straight thread formats.
Tube Unions (Straight/Elbow/Tee)
Used to connect two or more fractional or metric tubes together. Twin-ferrule technology ensures that the connection can be repeatedly disassembled and remade without losing seal integrity.
Bulkhead Fittings
Features a specialized extended body and locknut, allowing the fitting to be securely mounted through the walls of control panels, enclosures, or structural bulkheads.
Reducers & Port Connectors
Machined components that step down tubing sizes within compact manifolds. Port connectors allow the direct mating of two fitting bodies without the need for a short section of tubing.
